Simplify debts
Fewer payments to settle the whole group
In a busy group, debts pile up in every direction. With simplify debts on, SplitBank combines them so each person makes as few payments as possible — the amounts everyone ends up with don’t change.
How it works
If Anna owes Ben $20 and Ben owes Cara $20, Ben is just a middleman. With simplify debts on, Anna pays Cara directly and Ben is already square.
Your choice, per group
It’s on by default for new groups. Switch it off in group settings if your group prefers to see exactly who owes whom for each expense.
